My sister gave me this gorgeous papier mache lamp shade about twenty years ago, maybe more?
I could never seem to figure out how to attach it to anything and honestly being a bit lazy ended up wrapping it up carefully and then it just disappeared into the Ambers Alley Junk Trunk.
Well last Sunday I went to a boot fair. Been trying to avoid them really as the level of junk had reached epic proportions, but in a way I am glad I did as I picked up this lamp stand for £2.00.
It was attached to a wicker type lampshade but I thought I would take a chance and see if it would do the trick. It is not perfect but until something else turns up, it will do. I think it looks lovely.
It was my lovely niece who said she had missed my blog, so here I am again only a year later, but hey better late than never eh?? ;)
